We have represented plaintiffs or defendants in more than fifteen major collective action cases. Our attorneys have experience with successfully representing parties in Dutch collective damages (WAMCA) and collective settlement (WCAM) cases, as well as mass tort actions based on the mandate or assignment model.

Represented a foundation in a WAMCA class action claim on behalf of all Dutch children.

Represented a foundation in an abuse of dominance claim against a major technology company, with a damages claim of almost EUR 5 billion on behalf of European consumers.

Represented various companies in class action claims resulting in a favourable decision by the Dutch Supreme Court.

Represented the chairman of a listed company against several class action claims, leading to a finding that the chairman was not liable.

Represented a corporation in defending against several class action claims involving alleged consumer law violations.

Landmark climate change judgment: the Hague Court of Appeal confirms Shell’s obligation to limit its CO2 emissions, but rejects NGOs’ claims

Milieudefensie et al. claimed that Shell has a societal duty of care to reduce its emissions by 2030 with 45% compared to 2019. In first instance the District Court of The Hague ruled in favor of Milieudefensie et al. The Court of Appeal overturned the District Court’s decision and rejected the claims.
